Per an email we received from our classmate Cindy Chen, we all learned she arrived safely in China; in her message Cindy also forwarded a url to her new Chinese Google blog page. I visited Cindy's blog tonight and it isn't very user friendly. On my initial attempt to respond to one of Cindy's posts, I couldn't save my message, not even if I attempted to save as "anonymous."
I checked out the other tabs on Cindy's blog page and found the following message under the Personal Center Tab, Message Board:
Recently, some law-breakers to the user reviews the use of Sina winning the dissemination of false news. Sina here to state categorically that: Sina sina.com.cn suffix will not be used in addition to the domain name other than the winning of the page to publish the results, it would not use anything other than 95,105,670 telephone number as a phone; If you are involved in Sina activities and winning, we will not by any means free of charge. If you have any questions, please call customer service Sina only Hotline: 95105670 for consultation and reporting.I'm guessing the message was translated into English by a software tool.
Later I located one of Cindy's posts through my google reader, and through that link I was able to enter a response. To complete the upload I had to enter a check mark in the box (to respond as anonymous) and enter a four-digit number in the text box to the left of where the four-digit number appears.
It will be interesting to see what other Web 2.0 tools Cindy will be able to locate.
Your persistence paid off! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just tried to leave a reply on her page but the second field is asking for a password, so not sure what that's about.
